RSAO (Ø1 3/16" to Ø3 7/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RSAO type pillow block bearings are equipped with GN-KRRB wide inner ring ball bearings. They are ideally suited for installations where the load is heavy in proportion to the shaft diameter or where considerable shock loads exist.

These pillow blocks are pre-lubricated and ready for immediate use. For wet or extremely dirty conditions, a grease fitting is provided for re-lubrication if required.

All units are supplied with a self locking collar.

Recommended shaft tolerances:

1 1/16" - 1 15/16" (nominal to -.0005")

2" - 3 15/16" (nominal to -.0010")

FLCT (Ø1/2" to Ø1 7/16" Shaft)

Fafnir FLCT flange cartridges are rugged, versatile power transmission units designed to provide sturdy shaft support in minimum space at minimum cost.

The housing is a space-saving, two-bolt unit which mounts flush against the frame. Bolt hole spacing and size is the same as Fafnir's popular light duty Pressed-Steel Flangette Unit.

FLCT flange cartridges are equipped with RA-RRB extended inner ring ball bearings with positive contact land-riding seals. These bearings are permanently pre-lubricated and positively protected against contaminants. The Fafnir invented self-locking collar completes the assembly.

RAO (Ø1 3/16" to Ø2 15/16"Shaft)

Fafnir RAO heavy type pillow blocks meet the need for a compact, economical, heavy duty ball bearing housed unit. Designed to incorporate the tested and proven features of the Fafnir standard RAK series pillow blocks, the RAO series is equipped with heavy series GN-KRRB wide inner ring ball bearings for greater load capacity, and the LAO series is equipped with heavy series GN-KLLB wide inner ring bearings.

All units are supplied with a self-locking collar which eliminates shaft shoulders, machining adaptors, sleeves, and locknuts and provides easy mounting.

Recommended shaft tolerances:

1 3/16" - 1 15/16" (nominal to -.0005")

2" - 2 15/16" (nominal to -.0010")

RCJT (Ø1/2" to Ø2 3/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RCJT flange cartridges are basically the same design as the RCJ type except they have two bolt holes instead of four. They are designed chiefly to fill the need for applications where the mounting area is restricted.

The RCJT flange cartridge is equipped with G-KRRB (R-seal) wide inner ring bearings

These units are factory pre-lubricated, but a grease fitting is provided for re-lubrication if required. All units are supplied with self-locking collars.

RAK (Ø1/2" to Ø2 15/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RAK pillow block bearings are recommended for industrial applications where normal loads are encountered. They assure the user the advantages of a compact, one piece housing which can be mounted in any position.

The pillow blocks are self-aligning at mounting with the spherical outside diameter of the bearing fitting into a corresponding spherical housing seat. These units are pre-lubricated and ready for immediate installation. A grease fitting provides for re-lubrication if required. Self-locking collars are supplied with all units. The RAK pillow block is equipped with G-KRRB (R-seal) wide inner ring bearings.

RCJ (Ø1/2" to Ø2 15/16" Shaft)

Fafnir flange cartridges are used in applications where a minimum amount of machining is to be done. Each unit is furnished assembled and ready for mounting by means of bolts through the flange.

They use a wide inner ring bearing, self-aligning B type, which compensates for shaft misalignment. The RCJ flange cartridge is equipped with G-KRRB (R-Seal) wide inner ring bearings. These units are factory pre-lubricated, but a grease fitting is provided for re-lubrication if required. All units are supplied with self-locking collars.

RAS (Ø1/2" to Ø2 15/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RAS pillow blocks are similar in design and equal in load carrying capacity to the RAK but have a slightly higher base to center height dimension to make them interchangeable with certain other competitive designs.

The RAS pillow block is equipped with G-KRRB (R-Seal) wide inner ring bearings.

RCSM, RCR & CR  (Ø1/2" to Ø1 3/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RCSM and RCR super-quiet, synthetic conductive rubber cylindrical cartridges are designed for domestic heating, air conditioning, ventilating equipment and many other applications where low-cost, light-duty, and noiseless operation is essential.

All units are available with the RA-RRB extended inner ring bearings with positive contact land-riding seals and self-locking collar. An initial supply of long-life grease is provided in the one-piece, non-re-lubricated cartridges made of high-grade, durable molded synthetic rubber.

The Fafnir patented CR unit was specifically designed to accommodate the wide tolerances of either a hot or cold rolled #10 gage (.134"), 3-1/2" O.D., electric resistance welded mechanical tubing, such as that found in post office conveyor systems.

RSA (Ø3/4" to Ø2-15/16" Shaft)

Fafnir RSA industrial series pillow blocks are equipped with G-KRRB wide inner ring ball bearings. These pillow blocks are pre-lubricated and ready for immediate use. A grease fitting is provided for re-lubrication if required. All units are supplied with a self locking collar.

VAK (Ø1/2" to Ø2 3/16" Shaft)

Fafnir VAK standard series is a streamlined, rugged one-piece pillow block unit combining Fafnir's proven RAK housing and unique RA-RR extended inner ring bearing. The RA-RR bearing employs a positive contact land-riding seal and a Fafnir originated self-locking collar to assure positive shaft retention.

The VAK pillow block can be mounted and will operate in any position. Bearing housed units are factory pre-lubricated  but a grease fitting is provided to allow for re-lubrication if required.

VAS (Ø1/2" to Ø2 3/16" Shaft)

RPB (Ø1/2" to Ø1" Shaft)

The Fafnir RPB pillow block is designed for extra light duty applications to provide the advantages of ball bearings at low cost. The unit consists of a two piece separable zinc plated steel housing with spherical bearing seat and an electrically conductive rubber interliner. This allows the spherical ground bearing initial self-alignment in all directions

The ball bearing is a RA-RRB extended inner ring type bearing and has positive contact land-riding seals and self-locking collar. It incorporates the improved shroud cap design and is permanently pre-lubricated.

Durable cast iron. Secure clamp fit to shaft. Statically balanced.
