Established in 1885, Indiana Fan & Fabrication was originally known as Specialty Manufacturing Company and 

was involved in the manufacture and distribution of fans and ventilating equipment. In 1910, the company changed 

its name to Indiana Fan Company, placing more emphasis on the industrial market.

In the early 1900's, with the industrial market in mind,  the company started designing heavier fans for harsh 

applications as well as complete dust collection systems. Today the company has expanded upon this market,

providing custom sheet metal fabrication as well. In October of 1997, the company became a part of the Horner Electric 

family and is now known as Indiana Fan and Fabrication Division of Horner Electric. With the number of turn-key installations

the company is involved in, this partnership with a well known electrical service company has also allowed us to provide 

electrical installation of our systems along with our mechanical services. Our experience in industrial fans has shown us a need 

to be able to do comprehensive repairs in the field. We are able to provide quick turn-around service for most repairs, including 

complete refurbishment of the fans. Indiana Fan and Fabrication also maintains one of the largest parts inventories of universal 

blower wheels, condenser props, shafts, bearings, and sheaves in the Indianapolis area, servicing the commercial contractor, 

direct industrial markets as well as the homeowner.
